The building

Brick at the street, light above it

Brixton is a four-storey infill building on a wide downtown street. The lower levels are red brick, divided into bays by projecting piers. Above them the facade turns to pale metal panel, and the windows are square openings set in a steady rhythm across both.

Apartments open onto recessed balconies with black steel railings. Inside, floors are wood-look plank through the kitchen and living areas, carpet in the bedrooms, tile in the baths.

The corner entrance of Brixton Apartments: red 175 numerals mounted on a corten steel canopy above the glass doors, framed by red brick piers.
